What is Wheremind?
Wheremind is a hosted MCP server that gives AI apps live place search, place details, geocoding, and turn-by-turn directions. Your AI calls it when it needs a real location—so it does not invent addresses or routes.
Who is it for?
Builders and teams using Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude Code who want realtime maps tools inside the assistant—without running their own maps stack.
How do I get access?
Wheremind is in private beta. Request an invite at wheremind.ai. When you receive a code, redeem it to create your account, then connect your AI app.
Which AI apps work?
Claude (web/desktop), ChatGPT (developer mode / remote MCP), Cursor, and Claude Code. Remote MCP hosts that support sign-in or a stored Authorization header can connect after you have an account.
How do I sign in?
Public sign-in uses a code sent to your email. There is no password.
Do I need my own Maps API key?
No. Wheremind is hosted. You connect the MCP URL and sign in (or use a Bearer from your dashboard for agent setups). You do not paste a Google Maps key into your client to use Wheremind.
Is it free?
Invited accounts get a free daily quota during the private beta. Request an invite to get started.
Where does the data come from?
Google Maps Platform. Provider terms may apply. See Terms.

How is this different from ChatGPT’s built-in Maps?
ChatGPT Maps helps people explore places in the ChatGPT UI. Wheremind exposes places, geocoding, and routes as MCP tools so agents can look up real locations and directions when solving a task.
